findings of the research as presented in the article?
Sampling method. What is the sampling design used? Why do you think the authors used
this design as opposed to some other design? What problems did they have to deal with
using a sampling design like this one? How did they avoid or tackle these problems?
If you were going to do a research project attempting to answer the same research
question(s), what other sampling design might you use? What problems would you face in
your sampling design choice that the authors didn’t?
Data collection method. What data collection method did the authors use? Why do you
think they chose this method as opposed to some other method? What problems/issues did
they have to deal with using a method like this one?
If you were to do a research project attempting to answer the same research question(s),
what other method might you use? What problems would you face in your methodological
decision that the authors didn’t?
You needn’t (and probably shouldn’t) answer these questions in the order they are presented.
Rather, you should write an essay that addresses these questions in a thoughtful way in an
order that makes sense to you and for your reader. The organization of the essay is up to you,
but you should make sure that it is organized and readable.
