Scientific knowledge is not static: reviews help scientists to understand how knowledge in a particular field is changing and developing over time. There is a significant output of scientific publications – literature reviews save time for the scientific community. Literature reviews and journal articles can lead to new scientific insights and highlight gaps, conflicting results and under-examined areas of research.

1. Identify a SWE topic to complete a literature review. (A literature review is an overview of the previously published works on a specific topic.)
2. Find a minimum of 2-3 pieces of peer reviewed academic literature or case studies. Turn in a separate document.
3. Write a minimum 2 page paper, single spaced 12 pt font, Times New Roman in APA format. Do not use excessive spacing, charts, figures or graphs. You may reference those in an appendix. References should be APA 7th Edition.
