Overview:

In Ch 03 of his book, Dr Murthy continues to explore the effects of loneliness and how individuals experience loneliness differently based on cultural traditions they have followed. Nest, through a variety of vivid examples, Dr Murthy shows how cultural norms related to our interactions with others are usually inherited and adopted by those who share a common upbringing. Lastly, he concludes the chapter by explaining how these norms we follow can serve as a survival mechanism to help us stay safe, but might be at a disadvantage for building bridges, a crucial need in our modern times.
