You will write a formal literary essay (approximately 1200 words or 4-5 pages) based on a clearly worded thesis that addresses a theme in your ISU text and how it is revealed. Your final paper will require detailed analysis of your primary text (novel) and direct referencing. The content should also reflect relevant secondary research including direct references from at least two academic secondary sources.
Very Important Notes:
Your literary essay will not be accepted or evaluated unless the process work, including detailed outline, has been submitted.
All steps of the ISU must be completed for the written essay to be evaluated.
The final copy is to be completed following MLA guidelines including in-text citations for direct references and paraphrases and a Works Cited page. Essays submitted without appropriate citation will be considered plagiarized, will not be graded, and will be discussed with school administration.
